Hi guys, anyone here had experience filing for their parents AOS? I just became a USC this year and recently filed for my mom. Do they require interview?

Parents are generally the first to get their interviews waived, however you shouldn't bank on the interview getting definitely waived and they should prepare for it regardless.

Thank you! I just hope no more interview for her, she is already 73 and may be hard for her to do it.

Generally those interviews will just go through the list of yes/no questions and unless there's some inadmissibility issues she'll get approved.

I got this from Citizenpath.com

An Important Note About Visa Fraud
When United States grants a foreign national a tourist visa or some other nonimmigrant visa, it does so with the understanding that the visitor intends to return to the place of origin. However, if a foreign national uses a nonimmigrant visa as a way of gaining U.S. entry with the actual goal of adjusting status to permanent resident, the U.S. government considers this visa fraud. In this circumstance, the government may deny a green card based on the misuse of the nonimmigrant visa.

Your parent should not travel to the U.S. on a temporary visa with the intention of staying permanently to an adjustment of status application. This is considered a misuse of the visa and the green card application may be denied.

So, if my parents came with a tourist visa, will USCIS consider this visa fraud? Thanks!

We came to America back in 1999 on a tourist visa, that was long time ago. When I applied for my adjustment, I never had an issue or questioned me.I think that is meant for people who come here and adjust their status right away with the intent to stay.

From my adjustment to citizenship I filed my self. I also did all my mom's paperworks for her adjustment. It is just a waste of money to hire a lawyer. Our case is easy because we entered on a visa, no deportation record/orders, criminal records, and any inadmissible issues.
