I submitted my form I-485 on August of last year. I received a letter recently stating that:

"March 17, 2023

COURTESY NOTICE

Thank you for submitting a Form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) which has been transferred to a USCIS Field Office for review and adjudication.

What to expect…

Your Form I-485 will be reviewed promptly and may be adjudicated without an interview. If an interview is required, you will receive a separate notice with the date, time and location of your interview appointment.

To expedite the processing of your Form I-485, please submit a valid and unexpired Form I-693 (Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) completed by an authorized Civil Surgeon. If you have already submitted a valid Form I-693 that has not yet expired, please do not send another Form I-693 at this time. In addition, if your Form I-485 filing is based on a spousal relationship with a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, please submit current and relevant documentation that substantiates your marital relationship."

Does this mean that my application might soon get approved? I've also submitted the work permit that goes with it. But it has not been approved yet either. My current work permit expires on 09/02/2023 and I am about to hit the 180 day mark before were suppose to renew that work permit. Should I try to wait a little more to see if at the very least the work permit that goes along with an application Form I-485 (while its pending) is approved or should I just renew my current DACA?

PS I work for Amazon as a wherefore associate. I was going thru the employee resource center website and was reading on the immigration section that Amazon will apparently reimburse you for the EAD fee: "Amazon will reimburse only the cost of filing for an EAD and the associated biometrics, if necessary. Fees paid to a lawyer for their assistance to file the EAD renewal will not be reimbursed. For more information on filing fees, please see the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website."

As of now I have not tried this as I just found this out. I am NOT a spokeperson for amazon I just work there and wanted to share this if anyone that works at an Amazon wherehouse and may have to renew their DACA/EAD.

This notice just tells you that either you didn't file a medical or the one they had expired. Get it done. If they interview you bring it with you. If they waive the interview you'll get an RFE for it.

There is no filing fee for renewal EAD and AP. Just fill out forms I-765 (category (c)(9)) and I-131 (for advance parole) with copy of your I-485 receipt notice and send them in. If your I-485 is approved in the meantime these will just be denied for mootness eventually.

Whether to renew your DACA, that's your call if you want to pay for it.

I really don't think this notice is about the 693. For 693 they send a RFE. They have just put this is a general sentence but it looks like they are just notifying him that the case has been transferred to another office. Based on this notice, I think there's a good chance it might get approved without an interview (if very solid and a lot of evidence was provided at the beginning). Without a RFE, I would not send 693 (it will just get lost and nobody will look at it)..I saw that on a popular youtube immigration channel.

I know EADs through I-485 are taking on average 6-9 months (with many 12+ months) and some applicants receive their green card before their EAD application was processed. So it's up to you whether you want to take the chance and not renew your DACA.

That's literally what they send you with a missing I-693 (I hang around a lot in the VAWA thread on VisaJourney, and a lot of them get it). And yes, don't send it in, if they call you for an interview bring it with you, if they waive the interview you'll get an RFE, third unlikely option is they'll send you a G-35 call in notice telling you to drop it off in person.
