More #DACA action: red led states just advised court that they will file reply to govt. &
@MALDEF notices about #SCOTUS decisions on standing on 7/14. Seemingly pushes Hanen's decision on legality of program back into August at least

From my understanding the government/MALDEF thinks the two recent Supreme Court Cases should affect Judge Hanen's decision on DACA while the red states believe it shouldn't. As this will take time for them to submit the briefs and for Hanen to look them over, this will all ultimately delay his decision (probably until August).

Thank you for breaking it down. So in other words, DACA has a strong chance to come back and not be knocked down?
Could the original DACA be reinstated if nothing is ruled?

I’ve been a reader in this chat so a long time and you always have solid info, thank you for always been there.

Very interesting point this guy makes about how the courts could rule on daca, he thinks as I do too that the job permits will get stripped out. Starts at minute 37

would SCOTUS consider the 10 year ties since we already established our lives with work permits and revoking it would cause irreparable harm to recipients?

SCOTUS decision literally opened the door to expand DACA and a general pre-registry, parole program for undocumented immigrants with long-time ties here. They really should just pass DREAM Act and a registry bill once and for all. Otherwise, if Biden loses, the next president can do whatever they wish and the clown political circus continues, divorced from the economic reality that this country NEEDS immigrant workers.
