"Cities with large populations of migrants — like Denver, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago — could need additional detention sites built nearby to hold migrants arrested there. The administration might also need to reopen, expand or build new facilities in the Northeast to hold migrants arrested around New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, the source said. "

"Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the transition team, said in a statement: “The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver.” "

For the mass deportation they plan, new detention centers will be necessary, and they will require funds from Congress to build. There is nothing unexpected there.

What if Dem Governors refuse to allow them land permits to build?

That could get interesting

I am going to spread the rumor that these are FEMA camps and will do so for the entire time. And you can't prove to me that these aren't going to be used for internal dissidents next. Once you have a system built up its too tempting not to use it for more things.

And you can't have a rebuttal of "its against the LaW", because the law is whatever whoever has the most power/strength says it is. Now that Trump is empowered to do whatever he wants, if you so much as sneeze in 2026 you will get sent there.

We would be in uncharted waters. Would blue state governors deploy the national guard against the Trump goon squads to protect the people in their state? And does this lead to civil war?
