That is what DHS/ICE is doing.

Smug Dems need some softening up!

After few months of strong enforcement, Smug Dems will be eager to make a reachable deal.

No more amnesty for all!

Smug Dems wont derail DACA legalization deal anymore.

They will come to table in good faith!

Elaborate mental gymnastics.

What kind of deal is it your peanut sized brain is thinking? What do Rs need from Dems and are willing to trade for DACA amnesty?

Soon Smug Dems will be forced to come to the negotiating table. ICE is just too strong and too disrupting to their communities.

Deal will be:
- deportation protection and EAD for general undocs but no citizenship.
- citizenship path for DACA.
- and other toughening up measures.

Wonder how delusional you'll be and how hard you'll play the "Blame the Democrats" game when it's the end of 2028 and no DACA/Dreamer legislation has passed.

I remember sitting in my bedroom watching the last time dream act came up for a vote and failed in the senate. I was crushed. The Rs puked out "No amnesty!" repeatedly as if they were making some kind of salient point to any arguments being presented in favor of the bill.

That will very soon be 15 years ago.

And now here we are on a forum with people who, in all certainty would have benefited from the dream act, adopt and regurgitate a thought terminating expression that was repeatedly used against their own people.

The R's have only gotten more anti-immigration since then, as it should be self evident on the actions of what the republican party is not only allowing, but fully embracing.

Brother... the R's don't even care about AMERICANS, they sure as shit don't care about DACA. Cutting health care subsidies that will cause the deaths of who knows how many is just another Tuesday for them.

With all that said, there is nothing more contradictory and self defeating than a MAGA DACA.

You’re wrong

That standalone DA was pure amnesty without any enforcement measures

GOPs major complaint was how will passing it prevent same situations in the future?

Dems had no answer!

Dems wanted to have their cake and eat it too!

Ok, where's the Republican comprehensive immigration overhaul plan now? They have a majority across the board.
There is no other plan. The plan is Project 2025.
Fuck Republicans. They are going to lose huge in midterms and just play the blame game.

The plan is to force Smug Dems to negotiating table.

Just like I wrote in the OP.
