U.S. immigration official on the fate of DACA under Trump

CBS News immigration and politics reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez spoke with Joseph Edlow, the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, about the fate of the program under Trump.

Nothing new was said here and they also said the Trump administration has not made any comments on ending the program. We all know President Trump can simply roll-out a new executive order and end the program at anytime and that has not been the case yet. Let’s hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Why go through the trouble of ending the program when the SC will do it for them?

Maybe they want to keep DACA for now in the unlikely event they need leverage on passing more restrictive immigration laws. Who really knows what is going through Miller's phallus-shaped head, because he is the one in charge of immigration

I could be mistaken, but to my understanding when Judge Hanen makes his final decision, if none of the parties object to it, than it won’t go to the Supreme Court, it will stand as is. Right now it’s looking like the program will stay except if you live in Texas. But I do believe the reason is still standing is to achieve a trade off to curb other venues of immigration.

Not to mention this administration has shown that they are not scared of ending any programs if needed. They don’t need to wait for the Supreme Court to act. They could have done it on day one.
