Many of us run. Let's start a contest on who can get the most miles in. It doesn't matter if you're training for a marathon or your first 5K, everyone including beginners to running are welcome. Don't lie about your mileage, it's pathetic. Only count miles RUN (walking doesn't count).

WTF? ARK is my biggest competition right now? The only place he runs to is the Jack in the Box.

FAQ:
How do I know how many miles I ran?
Plot your run at www.run.com or www.mapmyrun.com

I'm open to suggestions on how to make this better.

I feel obliged to respond with a universal agreeable fact that running wears out your knees, and as such i refuse to run or perform any exercise, because it also wears out the respectable body parts. Hence my reason for sitting hunched over behind the screen of this computer typing this message. You ask for a reason i ask? Well i has none. Yeah.

Running actually helps your bone and body to get stronger. Your entire body constantly breaks and rebuilds, bones, muscles, cells, you name it. Running properly with proper shoes/ safety caution should help you build stronger bone, muscle, heart/ respiratory muscle. Trust me if you don't run/ exercise you will end up in a nursing home by age 60-70. You want a long healthy life not a crappy one.

Total Miles Run: wait like total miles run over my life time???
Miles Run This week: 23 miles
Average Miles per week: 24 miles
Contest Entry Date: 10/19

I am running a full marathon coming sunday 10/26 for the first time!!! I ran 3 half marathons this year and I am fairly new to running (I use to run in the gym or play basketball/ tennis instead.) I am just hoping to finish the marathon, hopefully under 4 hours ish? Wish me luck!

P.S. hey ygaa I don't see how we can just update our stats every week since we would have to constantly check back to check on each others stat... hmmm I can't think of a better way though.

^ you can edit your posts... click on edit, change your stats and there ya go.

Damn I wish I could've included the marathon I ran last week and the training (or lack there of) that went with it. But that's ok. I'll start fresh.

Miles Run This Week: 9
Avg Miles/ Week: 9

I like to use google pedometer for calculating how many miles I ran.

Can one of the mods sticky this thread? That way it won't get buried amongst the others, and we can check the updates people post more easily.
