... is a phrase that has been overused. It creates a chicken and egg problem. You are illegal, then get legal. You cant get legal, then you are illegal. There, no more argument.

Can we come up with a play on words or a catchy phrase that would convey our point and at the same time underline the ridiculousness of that phrase.

You mean phrases like those signs at pro-immigration rallies that says "No Human is Illegal"?

Yes, exactly, but tailored to the fact that you cant apply a blanket label to an issue. I just thought to myself how easy do they dismiss the argument with just one phrase, prompting people to respond with a paragraph or two describing why there are exceptions, which, of course, almost nobody reads.

I would consider this a creative exercise for those who find it interesting.
