Very interesting, laws get broken everyday, if anti-illegal immigrants advocates condem law breakers, then why don't they spend ten times more effort into child abuse, the logic here is very useful if you are ever in a debate over immigration. Robb seems educated, the words and logic correlate very well. We should contact him, he'll prop be up for meeting a few dreamers.

this is fascinating...

he's brilliant. If it isn't based on hate and anger, and truly on moral code of law, there are millions of other issues to fight for first...

Really good. This is a really important interview, not only for nativists but for us. It is passionate battle for them. It is about the most important battle of our lives. How can be maintain our own sense of dignity and right and wrong whent the stakes are so high?

I love the way he said illegal aliens. It is the correct term and there was so much neutrality in his voice. Usually, the term is used with so much hate that it takes another meaning.

What I am trying to say is that we need to stop the hate. It is easy to get caught in the nail contest. Last thing you know, we scream, like them. We feel anger and frustration, like them. We start to say that we are superior to them. Then, we casually imply we are better than most citizens and casually alienate people who might otherwise like us. What, better than me? you are just an illegal alien? and the rethoric starts all over again.

I do not meant to forget the past injuries. If something, those are meant to stay and reming you that you are survivor. Forgiving is not forgeting. It is just using their energy to our advance. They say horrible things againts us? We use their anger and our own anger to continue advocating for Dream. We see them for what they are, scared and desperate human beings.

I really do not have the words to say what I want to say. It sounds like hippy, liberal, too much time in Churches crap. Still, as I check my own posts in this site, I can see the transition from justice fighter to hater and then into an advocate of my own cause. I identify with him in as much that you see the Dreaded Other with hate. As soon as someone says something about Dream Act students, you respond with a nail, even if the person is just telling you something that other people say and that person loves you and is in your side.

I just don't want to see myself in the mirror one day and see that I am a bizarro version of an allipac member. There is no worst fate than to become what you hate the most.

I really liked the way he spoke, it was articulate and clear.
I also liked the reasons he provided for his shift in mindset.

It takes a really aware person to make that sort of shift.

Totally agree.

Very interesting videos, it's so hard to break away from the spotlight and realize what you're doing from an outside perspective. This guy deserves major props

That is exactly what I was thinking while watching the video. We tend to think of nativists as irate and illiterate. We cannot afford to underestimate and belittle those against us.
