I feel like I'm being sent signs telling me to leave and move on...

Its repetitive and slightly annoying when people tell this but ... hang in there.

Its the only thing to do anyways. Think of this way: everyone everywhere has hard times. It comes with being alive. Perhaps this is going to be the hardest part of your life and after you get through all of this it might all be smooth sailing.
And once you have everything you want and deserve you'll be able to appreciate it all the more

I feel that way also...ive given myself all of 09 to try to get Dream passed...if not im out. But dont see those as signs..
Its not our fault we were brought here, but life is hard for everybody...and if we cant stay here....then we gotta find another way to prosper in life.

one last try!!!! This year is our one last shot!!! If it doesn't pass this year I don't think any of us can really hang back and wait around anymore. Especially not with this economy. I can personally say that my life will pretty much be over and I would have to start all over. For some it would be much worse than starting all over. But this is our year, Dream passes or we are forced to leave. Let's persevere and push for this one more year~

(Fr)..It rains, it pours it thunders with a *rawr*..but buddy EVERY PERSON that is going through this are all in the same boat. Yes it's hard to imagine that some *dreamies* would have to go with plan B and move back to their country of origin but NO ONE can take this little ray of sunlight we have now. The man that is for Dream Act is in the highest office as of Jan 20th. What better sign then that can we not see???? So put that upside down smile on right and hold on. No one said life was going to be easy, it's up to each of us to make the best of what we have, even if it's the last drop of water in the desert.

Don't give up. My father says "We all go to Heaven when we die because we all go through hell when we're born" and it's true. These things come with being alive.. This does not mean that people should have suicidal thoughts or anything but I mean we all have ups and downs.. Life is a huge rollercoaster there are the ups, the lows, the loops, the breaks, the fast starts, and the end. You're never given more than you can handle.

frbc13, I am sorry for what you're going through. In these tough times it is especially hard to be in our situation, and it only serves to highlight how unfair it is. But try your hardest to not make rash decisions, and gather strength from wherever you can (through faith, family, friends, DAP ect.).

My whole family calls me a pessimist, i call myself a realist and as such i feel that THIS is our chance to push for this act. We must stand up and fight for this legislation, for our dream and we must do it all together.

and to add more cliches:

Going back to your country won't make life any easier, considering you'll be in a country that is not familiar to you, and you will have to start your life over. The things you are going through now could happen to you if you leave as well, at least right now there is a chance that DREAM will pass. My advice is to wait just a little bit more, I wouldn't want you to regret the rash decisions you may make while frustrated.

And - best of luck. Everything will sort itself out, sadly usually problems come in bundles so it looks impossible.

you said it...not me. You need to learn something productive...even if it just is to fix refrigerators. There is place here for those who have something to offer. You need to learn some kind of skill (if you don't do by now) and you'll see that if you keep fighting hard, good things will happen.
