Hi everyone,
Yesterday I sent a couple of e mails to DMV of Nevada, Washington and New Mexico for their ID requirements. I stated that I entered legally with a stamped I-94 but has been expired. The question is would they accept my I-94 so I can apply for ID.
They haven't response to my email, except Washington said they a DMV Representative will contact me in next 24-48 hours.
My fear is will they track my e mail to the IP address and tell the ICE about my status.
Please give some advice. I am really scare now! I think I shouldn't send the e mails in the first place.

You have nothing to worry about.

Trust me when I say that these states know exactly what they are doing when they give illegal aliens ID's and Drivers License. If they cared to report people there would be tons of people being deported.

I know how you feel because I'd be feeling the same way but dont worry about anything... DMV has bigger things to worry about than calling ICE.

My concern is because I have mislead on Nevada (it supposed to give driver license for us), as it turned out, it does not. This really scares me.

Do you think that they will really try that hard? if they wanted to catch illegals they would secure the Canadian border that is so easy to sneak through.
They won't track you down even if the DMV reported you and the DMV will not report you, its not their job and they got better things to do.

Also, if you sent them an email from a web-based email and not from Outlook then they can't track your IP, they can get it only from your web-based email server and they will need a signed letter from a judge for that. Even if you used outlook I don't think it would easy to get your IP, they'd probably would also have to contact your internet supplier which won't give information about their customer unless they have no choice.

yeah dont worry about anything... and if it was their job then they would report the undocumented who sign that paper declaring they dont have a social since DMV works nationally.. It would have to be a huge process and like I said, they have bigger fish to fry.

also if it makes you feel any better i've called (without blocking my number), and e-mailed a ton of different states over the past year asking them a million questions and they are usually very helpful and polite and then sometimes annoying at wost..
