Hello

Well I have been browsing this site for some time now and I guess its time I introduce myself. My name is Ale and I am 21 years old. I'm the oldest of 4 siblings and the only one not born in Texas.

I was born in Mexico (NL, Tamaulipas) and lived there for 4 years. Before my 5 birthday my mom brought me to the US. Much of my family was already settled in Texas so my parents decided to live there too.

I really did not pay attention to my statues till I got to high school. At the time when all my friends were worrying about being asked to prom, I was worrying about what to do after graduating. I took a 'gap year' to decided what I was going to do. I work that year and decided that I did not what to spend any more time in a dead end job that paid minimum wage. I said 'to heck with this, let's go to college'.

I decide to go to a community college and take my basics and then transfer. I attend a DCCCD college and will hopefully transfer to The University of Texas at Austin soon.

I never really talk about this with anyone. All my friends where born here and most of the time they do not understand what not having a SSN means.

With that said I hope the DREAM ACT gets passed real soon.

Welcome.... I went to Mountain View too!! I graduated college already but I'm actually back at MVC taking a sign language course, yoga, and ZUMBA!! hah...
