By keeping him out of the site, we are only hurting ourselves. When members like Juang can annoy and insult people endlessly, I don't see how Nick can justify banning Quaker for a offhand comment. Bring him back. It's time to put petty personal differences aside and make 2009 our year. Show your support for quaker by sending Nick a quick pm to urge him to unban quaker.

I think members like Juang are ban proof no matter what they do on here lol. But we should just drop all this cause we are not getting no where since Nick is the "sole decider" around here.

Shit if I was the one who created this site in the first place, paying the bills to maintain it, AND keeping it up for all these years, hell I'd be the SOLE DECIDER too. You guys don't give Nick enough credit.

it's not about giving Nick credit. Yes I understand he worked his ass off to maintain this site and pay for it. But, this site was created to organize people for the passage of Dream Act. It should not be a site where a personal grudge against certain member should get in the way of us working together. Fact of the matter is that quaker is a valuable member to the DAP community and has done a lot for the Dream act and will continue to do a lot more. I think Nick has a resposibility to the community to do what's best for DAP. I don't see how banning Quaker will help DAP in any ways. If i'm mistaken, please correct me.

Quaker said something disrespectful to Nick, and probably was not the only time of him doing so. Would you like for someone to go into your house and disrespect you? probably not. This is how I see the situation. If I were in Nick's place, I wouldn't be able to put up with that. Yes Quaker might have been a valuable member blah blah blah, but the DREAM Act movement does/should NOT depend on ONE person's efforts. If Nick decides not to lift the ban it is ultimately his decision, which we should respect, and we should take it upon ourselves to pick it up where quaker left off.

There should be an option that said: Unban Quaker after he apologizes to Nick for being an asshole.

Since the first option is the closest to that it gets my vote.

Lol,I guess this was bound to happen sooner or later. What I find to be so funny about this is that all the energy expressed from both sides in this matter could be going towards the activism for Dream act where it is so sorely needed.

We have increased majorities for Democrats in both Houses of Congress & a President who can more than likely get Dream act into law due to talking about Education reform, even through the current economic news.Abraham Lincoln once said,"A house divided against itself cannot stand".

So its ok when I get insulted on here by another member and nothing becomes of it, but when a member insults a mod or admin who can ban them an apology is needed..?

If that person wants back in then yes, an apology is needed.

By the way, you're the only person who's ever given me a bad rep so I think you should take this opportunity to apologize.
