has any one opened an account with bank of america using a matricular card? and how was it?

Can't be very hard considering the BofA banks in Los Angeles have signs all over with the Matricula on it saying, "Yes! We accept this as I.D."

You can use your matricular card from what I heard. You can also use your passport, they don't check for visas.
You can open an account in Bank of America and in Washington Mutual.

yeah all you need is your ITIN and a passport.

You don't need an ITIN to open a checking account, you need it only if you open a saving account.

College ID, Matricula, and my ITI.N...... you also get the option of opening a prepaid credit card, which will help you build your credit score.

I went today after reading this thread.I had absolutely no problem opening up an account.All I needed was my passport and my consular card.She gave me a temporary debit card and I should be getting the real one in about a week.
