Immigration Update

Rotor.com has given an immigration update concerning the Chairwoman of Immigration sub-committee,Zoe Lofgren.

Quote:

The chairwoman of the House Judiciary Immigration Subcommittee, Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-California) has said presidential leadership will be needed to pass any significant immigration reform this year.<br />

Lofgren supports measures that would make it easier for highly educated immigrants, particularly those with advanced degrees in the sciences, to remain in the United States. She declined during a speaking engagement in Washington D.C. to offer any details as to when legislation might be unveiled, but did note that most immigration proposals would be difficult insofar as winning Republican support.

I wonder why she would interested in Republican support in the House if they have such vast majorities ?The Democrats need to stop stonewalling & start writing a bill.
