Representative Fortenberry's voting record and website are inconclusive. A better assessment would be made if someone from the 1st district of Nebraska (Eastern Nebraska) contact him - he won't respond to non-constituents (understandably) like me.
He supports "E-verify" to make sure new hires are legal residents. He also "was involved in the facilitation of increased cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration officials in eastern Nebraska." He admits "our nation' immigration policies are broken at many levels" according to his website.
