Rep. Ron Klein (D-FL)

Do this to help:

  3. Have some cake; you just helped the DREAM Act campaign!

Very little information exists regarding Representative Klein's stance on immigration reform on his website and from other news outlets. NumbersUSA gives him a C+, and lists him as a sponsor of the SAVE Act which cracks down on employers and aims to enforce immigration laws.

However, Open Congress states that he votes along party lines 98% of the time.

What's the sentiment in Congress regarding immigration reform?

"We haven't had a lot of discussion or debate on it. Generally, I'm hearing a more conciliatory approach toward immigration, along the lines of the Senate's approach. Although there are still questions about amnesty concepts and implementing a guest worker program. I think the general thinking is that the idea of building a 3,000-mile wall is probably not a viable thing to do.

I think there's a lot of interest in making sure that employers are held accountable for hiring illegal immigrants. There was a recent announcement that the federal government may be moving to a policy of not allowing firms to bid on federal contracts for 10 years if they are found to be in violation of existing law about hiring illegal immigrants. I think that's appropriate." - Source
