It is clear that you do not understand the situation. DACA is likely to end with the Supreme Court, regardless of Harris' presence. How would she improve the situation with a Republican-controlled Congress that strongly opposes her? Please provide an explanation.

Members of her own party do not even respect her; they were all forced to support her. It took Obama days to fully endorse her, and it is no secret that the rest of the Democratic Party were secretly saying she would not win.

Yet, if/when DACA gets struck down, we expected the Republican Party to respect her as a president? This makes zero sense.

The bill passed by an overwhelming majority in the Senate, it died in the GOP House which never took it, because the caucus was divided and scared after Eric Cantor was primaried in June of 2013. Who were they scared off? The Republican base which is extremely restrictionist.

That's the thing you have to accept... there would not be a permanent solution for Dreamers under Harris just like there will be no permanent solution under Trump. We aren't getting anything from Congress once DACA is killed. The truth hurts. DACA is going to be dissolved with nothing left or us just like TPS and similar.

Also, I could ask you the same thing... how can you expect there to be a victory on a DACA solution with the Trump Admin when the country is so anti-immigration right now and more importantly, when the presidential administration is chock-full of White nationalists that have made it clear they want a hard-line immigration agenda?

Stop believing in what Trump said. So many people cream their pants when he says something about DACA. The man is an 80 year old liar and con. He flips flops on everything and is insane. We ain't getting his actionable support just like we never got MX to pay for the wall. What is SAYS is worthless.

A proposed DACA solution is going to be be labeled as "amnesty" (headlines going to be all over the place) and is going to be massively unpopular in this political climate the next 2 years up to midterms. "Amnesty" is NOT what the voters who got Trump and all those R senators and representatives in office this past election.

And there's no way in hell Dems are going to give Trump a victory on immigration leading up to mid terms when they are desperately going to want to make gains.

I'd rather have peace of mind the next 2 years knowing I might not get caught up in mass deportations or be racially profiled while working on my Plan B than feeling fear or uneasiness going about my life (like a lot of us on this forum clearly are) now that the deportations are happening.

Not to mention how Trump is also ruining so many other things and will ruin the economy and foreign relations. There are other things to keep in mind alongside immigration.

Speaker John Boehner fucked it all up. The 2013 Immigration bill wouldve fixed everything in regards to immigration.

YOU need to accept the fact that I acknowledged the potential end of DACA in our previous discussions, even with Harris as President. You mentioned that "the DACA status quo" would have been better under her, but you have yet to provide a justification for that claim. Please explain why you believe it would have been better under her given the circumstances.

I can explain why I believe there will probably be a DACA deal under the Trump Administration. It is worth noting that President Trump has not taken immediate action to end DACA despite having the power to do so.

He has expressed openness to negotiating a deal to preserve the program, as evidenced by the support of Conservative Senators like Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham, as well as recent discussions with John Fetterman.

He will require some form of funding for enforcement or adjustments to other immigration programs in exchange for DACA. This will require Democratic help. While the outcome remains uncertain, these developments suggest positive signs.

You continue to assert that Trump is influenced by fear of his base's opinion, but it is clear that he acts independently and according to his own will. When it comes to him flip-flopping on issues, find me someone who hasn't. It's all part of politics and part of the deal making.

I commend you for considering a plan B, but it is not acceptable to diminish the dreams of others simply because they may not have a backup plan. This behavior displays jealousy rather than support.

Furthermore, if you believe that Democrats will not allow Trump to achieve a victory on immigration relief for us, then it is evident that we are being used as pawns by them. They introduced the Dream Act in 2000, and 25 years later, we are still waiting for a resolution. If that doesn't say anything, I don't know what else will.
