It wouldn't benefit them to work with Obama because it'd mean that they helped him accomplish what he wanted to do, they'd practically be handing him the Hispanic and Immigrant votes. Obama getting the DA/CIR passed would mean a lot of Hispanic and Immigrant voters will come out and vote for him, that wouldn't benefit the Republicans. Obama needs to step up on this issue and use his executive power to grant some form of relief to Dreamers at least temporarily and stop playing games with people's futures and lives.
