I really think he's considering a few options. There are so many behind the door talks about DACA. If he was planning to cancel it, he would have tweeted it by now, just how he tweeted about the transgender military ban. Deep down, I do not think that's going to happen. We would have known this by now!

Think about the positive anchors in this situation:

1- DACA has been around for 5 YEARS and a tiny fraction of people (in comparison to the entire immigrant community) have benefited from the program. There is NO WAY he can get away with ripping our lives apart. It would be a political disaster and USCIS/DHS nightmare.
2- There is substantial and significant support around this issue from congress, rights groups, and even those who voted for Trump. Even GOP hardliners are sympathetic towards the issue.
3- IF he was going to flat out cancel the program, I have no doubt he would have done it by now.

No, it's not a smal slice of the immigrant community. Behind 800k people there are fathers and mothers, siblings, spouses, etc, that are directly impacted.

LOL screw them. For the 10 AG's suing, there are 20 who are for DACA.

From a grandfathered in approach... yes they can sue and win. But if we are grandfathered in, Trump will have to issue a new EO (I'd assume) for those who already have DACA. I don't think they'd sue against that for a second time, imo.

I don't think so. Paxton is committed to ending DACA so he can restore law & order and has blatantly ignored any requests to just throw away the lawsuit.

Read on collateral estoppel/claim preclusion. Some legal analysts say the suit will not be successful based on these civil procedure doctrines add on to the fact that ending a program that has been in existence for five years is difficult to end via litigation.

So, Paxton can say all he wants...he can say he has man tits...idk...the suit is not likely to go through.
