I submitted my 2nd renewal the 17th of April. Went in for bio the 3rd of May and finally got approved Aug. 18th. All in total it took around 4 months, 4 stressful months to say the least.

yes, this is normal, the next update should change your i821d to "Case was Approved", and don't freak out when your EAD status changes from "Card in Production" to "Case was Approved", that's normal...
