At this time I would be happy even if the legistration is as minimal as just make DACA into a lawful status w/o pathway to green card or citizenship.

It is still the same as before, EWI and those who evade voluntary departure get one time fine, while those with final order of deportation $1000 per day. It is not for all undocs.

You shouldn't get detained when your DACA is still active, because it means your deportation order is on hold, just like you won't get fined for $1.8 million, but it could be tough to find the DHS...

Immigration related offenses are not pardonable by president though, only congress can give pardon or amnesty. Otherwise Biden would have pardoned someone.

Mine expires on July 2025, I submitted Early December online and still got approved within two weeks. I think they are approving as fast as they can before trump takes office.
