I did the same and I provided HR with my acceptance receipt and Biometrics receipt I also explained what was going on and she said that it was enough with those documents, I expired on 08/03 and I have been working like that since then

By the way I was approved for both DACA and work permit on 09/08 still waiting for card to arrive
