Hello everyone,

This is my first time here and all the threads have been very helpful.

I am currently filling out the DACA appliocations and almost done with all evidence.

I have been living here since 2002 after over staying on my B2 Visa.

I am pretty much American, attended middle school and high school, this is a great opportunity for me to work legally, go to school, and finally obtain a degree .

I am almost done with everything, I have gathered all papers necessary : (i-94, high school diploma, stamp on passport when admitted).

I also have bank statements that show I was here right before June 15, 2012 and on that day I purchased something at Publix.

I have dated bank statements that go back to June 27, 2007 which is when I enrolled for a debit card. I have statements for 2 months of each year.

And then for all years I have gathered receipts, correspondence, transcripts from middle and high school, random report cards, dental insurance policy, dental work, prescriptions.

I am confident I have all the paperwork that more than qualifies for an acceptance, but I have my doubts:

1) Do I need a cover letter?
2) Do I really need a lawyer? I have not been arrested ever. The forms are very easy and are all filled.
3) Can I translate my own birth certificate? Or does someone else have to translate it and notarize it?
4)What is the best way to organize everything?
5) Is there a limit to the number of pages to be sent? My packet looks fat!
6) I have been working since 15 yrs old and getting paid cash. Will making money be a problem in their decision making?
I currently make 19000 yearly and my expenses are of 17000 yearly. Will it be ok to put those numbers in the i765 WS?

Thank you so much, I want to send this papers by the end of the week, but want to make sure all the little touches are done.

I appreciate to whoever can respond. (I do not have the resources to pay for a lawyer and do not think it's necessary).

I am confident I have all the paperwork that more than qualifies for an acceptance, but I have my doubts:

1) Do I need a cover letter? i included when but you don't have to. I just basically listed what was included in the package
2) Do I really need a lawyer? I have not been arrested ever. The forms are very easy and are all filled. no you don't. just go over your application a couple of times to make sure you did not miss anything. Leave anything that does not apply to you blank.

3) Can I translate my own birth certificate? Or does someone else have to translate it and notarize it? No, you don't have to get it notarized you just need a translation certification. If you do a search on this thread you will find it. I think it was posted by turmanlina.
4)What is the best way to organize everything?
I think by category. USCIS ask that you label and organize all your evidence. You don't have to but I included an index in the following format.
I. Identity Documentation
II. evidence entrance before 16
III. evidence of High School Graduation.
IV. evidence I don't have status. (I was EWI so included an affidavit saying I was w/o status because I entered without inspection. but this is where your expired visa goes if you included as proof of identity make sure you label it as well)
VI.evidence I was here June 15, 2012
VII. evidence of continous residency June 15-2007-June 15-2012
2007 evidence
2008
2009
2010
2011
2012
5) Is there a limit to the number of pages to be sent? My packet looks fat! NO but try to minimize your packet and only include stuff you really need to include. Do not send multiple stuff (ex: Two papers that cover May 2007 instead Jan, April, July, Nov 2007.) Spread out throughout the year or month to month. But they don't have to be single papers. (ex: Payment ledger for dentist that included all payments made in 2009)
6) I have been working since 15 yrs old and getting paid cash. Will making money be a problem in their decision making? NO it is not just explain your income in the I765. You don't have to say it was under the table. Just estimate how much you have made and how much you spend and explain who fills the other gaps.
I currently make 19000 yearly and my expenses are of 17000 yearly. Will it be ok to put those numbers in the i765 WS? yes that is fine. Just explaiin a little about your expenses and where you work. Such as tuition, car payment, you help your parents with rent etc...

Thank you so much, I want to send this papers by the end of the week, but want to make sure all the little touches are done.

I appreciate to whoever can respond. (I do not have the resources to pay for a lawyer and do not think it's necessary).

2007
Jan: Report card
March: Report card
June 26 to July 23: Bank statement
August: Letter from Youth conference
August 24 to I would also take out one of those because they both cover august.
September 20: Bank statement
October 18: Letter from Youth conference
October: ACT REPORT (ACT is testing at school).I would take one of the October ones.
November 22 to
December 20: Bank statement.

2008
February 22 to
March 21: Bank statement.
July 24 to
August 21: Bank statement.
September: Receipt for a prescriptionsame here two septembers
September 28: Receipt for a freight shipment paid by me.
2008/2009 letter from school with no month or especific date.If it doesn't have a month or specific date I would just take it out since you have much of the year covered
December 18th: Pathfinder scholarship nomination form
2 letters of recommendation are followed by the above form, from the counselors
December 29th: receipt from sears car maintenance. same here pick one evidence for december. I covered month by month but some people prefer the every 3 month thing like I said in my previous comment.

2009
February 20th to
March 23: Bank statement
April: Award from school for a nomination for a scholarship
April: Award from school for completing 100 hours community service
April 30th: letter from the selective service with the card on the bottom.same thing here too much april
May 11: graduation status paper form school
June 1: letter from College for being placed on Dean's List.
June 2nd: report card from high schooli say pick one for june
June 23 to
July 23: Bank statement
June 29th: letter from Congress you have too much june july going pick one for each I think. better to be concise and to the point.
July 8th: Scholarship letter
August 9: Background check
Also I included a page from Bank of America showing the 2009 Tax Statement.

Should I delete some of June above? And simply add September October or November December bank statements? To delete some repetitive stuff? Or leave it since they are awards and letters from colleges?
I think is more important to cover the dates they want over what type of paper it is based on the rfe request for more evidence people have been receiving. Some people only send h.s. diplomas but they want the transcripts. So, they actually want to see years and time spent here.

2010
March 9th: Traffic citation course completion (4 hour course-driver improvement, it looks like an award with a stamp).should I include this? or no? It was a course after a traffic citation. not if you have that march 24th bank statement. Was it just like a speeding ticket? not a misdemeanor right?
March 24th to
April 22nd: Bank Statement
August 25th: wire transfer receipt from Bank of america
October 23: Letter from CapitalOne
October 22 to
November 20th: Bank statement

2011
December 24th 2010 to
January 21 2011: Bank statement
March 31: Traffic citation course completion (4 hr basic driver improvement).
Again should I include the certificate?if that is all you have for march. Man march is not your driving month.
May: Best buy receipt
May: Tires receipt purchasetoo much may
May 21 to
June 22: Bank statement
August 24 to
September 22: Bank statement
November 22 to
December 21: Bank statement

2012
January 24 to
February 24: Bank statement
March: Eye exam
April: Credit score letter from Bank of america
May 15: letter from dental insurance saying my ID CARD will arrive soon

for 2010 maybe only something for early in the year since 2009 you leave with the tax statement. Maybe a Jan-feb bank statement.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I THINK IM ALMOST DONE. I COUNTED EVERYTHING AND IT IS ALMOST 150 PAGES. NOT INCLUDING THE FORMS OR COVER LETTER.

SORRY SO MUCH INFO.
No worries. good luck.

Thank you so much man. Yes in 2010 I was a bad driver. Those tickets were just violations like running a red light, passing a stop sign and one was speeding. But I will try to replace them with something else.

I will do exactly as you say and be precise. THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP.

I do have the official transcript from High School. It shows how many days I attended school in 2007 to 2008 and same for 2009 and 2010. And it shows middle school reports as well.

All I have left is the i 765 WS which I will do as you say.
Translate my birth certificate. And do the last things. Probably will ship it out tomorrow or Saturday if all works out.

Thank You so much. I appreciate it from the heart.

There is a sample around here in the forum of a translated mexican Birth certificate.

I saved the sample as a jpeg then opened it on paint and edited all the text with my info and then certify it.
send me a message if you cant find it and i 'll send it to you via email
Hello,

My name is Juan Rubio and I am currently finishing my packet.

I just need help with the birth certificate translation.

My birth certificate is from Colombia and it is in spanish.

I am capable of translating it. But what do they mean by: "certified"

Do you have a sample template?

How do I certify a translation of a birth certificate?

Or should I just go to a legal aid office to have them translate it and notarize it? I do not want any issues with this since it goes on the first of the Index under identity.

I hope you can help me.

Everyone has been helpful and this site is perfect for those who don't have resources to pay for a lawyer.

Thank You so much.

Juan Rubio

Please let me know if it looks ok...
Also, I think doing subcategories is too difficult, cant i just write the number on each page, like page 1 of 2? or 1a 1b 1c 1d? for each exhibit?
Do I have to write my name and address on all pages?
Thank you, I really appreciate any reply's.

It looks like you have enough evidence. I cannot help you with the index and organizing by categories. I sent only the evidence with no list or index. I also helped my sister and she was approved on Wednesday with no index. I guess you can do it if it gives your peace in mind up to you and especially since you have alot of evidence. I had way less than you. Good luck
