just because she's puerto rican, it doesn't make stupid or apathetic. it's not right to generalize that because she's latina that she represents us all. likewise, it's not right to generalize that because she's puerto rican she doesn't care about immigrants' plight, both legal and illegal. for fuck's sake, her dad was born in puerto rico and worked in a factory in the US and yet never learned english. she grew up primarily speaking spanish at home. she's the product of migration.

what you must understand is that she grew up in NYC where puerto ricans are generally represented more than other latinos. the same can be said of florida (and especially miami), where the majority are of cuban decent, and the southwest, where the majority are of mexican decent. with that said, she's a very smart and intuitive woman. obama selected her because of her professional and personal life experience. she's educated and i highly highly doubt that she sides with alipac on the immigration issue. if anything, i bet you that she would support the DA as a person. she accomplished all that she's accomplished by the power of education. she wouldn't want to deny that to anyone that wants it as bad as we do.
