Congratulations Arcane! Hopefully it also goes smoothly for me, especially since I'm transferring credit from the fake social to the good one...

Any updates on this? I'm in the same boat than you. I sent the three letters today. Made up social as well.

Today I received a letter form Equifax stating: "We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are: Please contact your creditors to provide your social security number to them."

what the...? O_0

by creditors they mean the ones I have loans with (credit cards at the moment)?

Yeah, Equifax sucks. I reread my letter and they asked me to resend copy of my ssn, state id, and bills in my name. sigh.

Experian changed my number over. Haven't heard back from TransUnion.

I called Equifax and they stated they had all documentation necessary to make the transfer and it usually takes 30-60 business days, so to call back in January to verify if the transfer succeeded 0_o so I guess they are slower than the other two.

Have not heard from Experian yet. Hopefully next week.

So what if I have a itin number that had a not so good credit history, and i dont want to transfer my score on my new ssn will that be a problem? If it wont be a problem, Which bank is not so strict to apply a CC?

I have a BA account using my ITIN with a credit card but im bot sure how good the credit score because most of the time im late with payments and pay only minumum.

I sent my letters 2-3 weeks ago. So far, I've actually gotten two responses. One from Equifax which said my SSN was updated in the report and one from Experian which simply wanted to verify my address, so they just asked for a copy of ID with current address and utility bill.
