Haha I was being sarcastic. This is the argument I'm having with a bunch of dreamers in another thread.

Yes, I caught the sarcasm immediately and its definitely such a frustrating thing to deal with because those people are seriously fighting for "citizenship for all." To make matters worse, many immigrant organizations want "citizenship" for "all" and they literally mean everyone, even convicted criminals! Whenever I bring this up, people tell me, "Oh you need to be grateful. Those people fought for your DACA you should show them respect." Like that is complete Bullshit. Sure the Dream leaders did an amazing job to get DACA but I am equally deserving of it. I earned it now I want full legalization because I've paid my dues and I don't want to be associated with felons.

I can appreciate everyone's point of view, but what we are missing is how racist America still is. People like to talk about economically anxious rust belt states, that's all BS. They were motivated to vote for trump because they think the browning of America is a worse fate than anything trump can do including destroying the environment and deregulating banks to their pre recession glory.

Fair point. But, this is the administration we are left with for the next four or EVEN maybe eight years. If Trump could win the last election despite all the crap related to him, he has a chance of winning the next election. So, we can either side with humanity, refuse to work with him, reject any relief from his administration, and suffer in pride alongside our families for the next 4 or 8 years. OR, we can be deceptively strategic and work with him out of the interest of the community, so we can acquire more tools (permanent legal status), help others in needy, and help our families.
