So this never happened under Obama? People who skipped courts were able to adjust?

Maybe not able to adjust, but i think the agency at least looked the other way.

They used to consider all of the circumstances surrounding each and every case. Kids, family, ties, employment, criminal record, etc. That is no longer standard practice. If you are eligible for deportation, they don't care about anything else it seems.

I agree, it is tougher now under Trump.

But why did he went through with it? Does anyone know if he was naive or did his lawyer just convinced him?

This isn't any different than the other that were already arrested at USCIS offices.

Don't skip out on court and don't do anything to get yourself sent to court (driving without a license if you're not under DACA is unavoidable and I understand that. I was sent to court myself for this before DACA). Yes, you always hear about the exceptional case of someone being detained with little to no reason, but for the most part, you stay out of trouble you don't encounter ICE.

I'm starting to sound like a Trump supporter and Blue Lives Matter person...but geez the fear no getting and victimization are getting out of countril.

Seriously, what ARE you doing here? Do you realize that all of these also affect dreamers? If your parents had a final order or skipped court when you were a minor, that also will haunt you for the rest of your life. That means if a dreamer also tries to adjust his/her status, they would also be subject to the same treatment.

I know of at least two people who had final orders and were able to adjust their status after having an immediate family petition. Is that considered skipping court?

I don't see how my parents having a deportation order or missing court means that I now have that on MY record as well. I don't see it at all... Is this actually true? Can you provide me some evidence?

If you can provide me some evidence, I will gladly defend my position, and you may even be able to change my mind.

I think he means if the dreamer him self was given an order of deportation. And I think he means if DACA goes...

That's different. Skipping court is a very bad thing to do.

I'm too lazy to look it up but a couple of months ago, there was a guy who went to adjust his status and was arrested because he had a final order too. I just think a lot of people on here want to justify someone getting arrested by saying they somehow deserved it but what goes around comes around.

It's good to know that there is a difference.
