I've been married for 8 years is sending our kids birth certificate enough evidence? Or would I still need to take more evidence besides tax returns?

Those are just examples. Thanks y'all
The 5 year charge is almost unenforceable. The law doesn't really signify what programs are definitely a public charge. However, programs where you receive cash assistance to meet the needs via government assistance will almost always make you a "public charge". The funds can be from all levels of government to qualify.

Go anyway!
If you have the letter for an interview, take it with you and make sure to go! It could also be a glitch in the system...again go!

Hmmm....it would actually be best to bring your kid(s) to the interview!

Does that mean that after the 5 year wait you're no longer a public charge? Or would you be a public charge until citizenship. I'm just trying to figure out the point of public charge and this 5 year wait

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you have a very specific question in mind that you don't want to ask. If you want a straight up answer, you're gonna have to ask the question. Heck, even use the PM function if you don't want it to be public.

I agree with you. From what I know, you becomes a public charge until you become a citizen.

Hello, I am still trying to adjust status and I am going to miss the deadline of the old form i485 due to saving enough money to pay for the application. I have a few questions from the new form, if anyone can help.

On form 1485
Part 2 , It asks to provide a receipt number for the principal applicant of an underlying petition. Would I leave this blank since I am filing AOS through marriage, since its concurring filing with form i130?

On part 8, there's a couple questions that im not sure if I should put yes?

Number 17- Have you ever violated the terms and condition of your nonimmigrant status ? (i am an overstay, so was here illegally years before daca)

number 23 - Have you ever applied for any kind of relief or protection from removal, exclusion , or deportation ? (well I have daca)

Thank you .
