Idgaf about the wall either. The construction wouldn't even start for a while

1000$ is not enough enough. Estimated cost of the wall is 70 billion dollars. That's 8750$ from each dreamer.

We wouldn't pay for the whole wall, that bill would go to Mexico
We would pay for the down payment

They can go for a fence. And all of that would take a few years to start building and even might not get built because of lawsuits by land owners.

1000$ + some volunteer work. I'm down for that.

Different sites different numbers. Some say 12, some 30, some 70. It's an estimate. Nobody knows for sure the cost.

I'm really starting to get tired of these advocacy groups that purport to represent us, and then espouse positions that are antithetical to our goals. We need to compromise. We can't have it all. A standalone DREAM Act didn't reach Obama's desk even with a Democratic-controlled Congress. The DA is certainly not going to reach Trump's on its current form now that the Republicans are in control of both chambers. With the Hastert Rule, it might not even reach a vote in the House! McConnell also doesn't seem enthused at the idea of bringing the DA up for a vote in the Senate judging by his latest statement regarding the matter. Even if the DA passes, Trump will veto it if there are no concessions from Democrats. How hard is that for these people to understand? We don't have to give them E-verify, decreased quotas, or maybe even the complete wall. We can at least offer other forms of border security (funding for technology, additional personnel, improved training for border patrol agents, repair of existing walls, maybe new fencing, etc.) There is a sweet spot in there somewhere. We just have to find it.
