I just received my green. before I start am not new. I have been unable to log in for the last couple of months and the reset password link is not working either. so here is my story

come here as a vistor child, parents applied for asylum got denied then case went to removal. i was about to leave when DACA was announced so it come on time because i met my husband

I applied for AOS on 07/29/2016. i got married in march 2016. my DACA was still current and was expiring in May 2017. I submitted forms I-130, I-864, I-485, I-131 and I-693. included bone fade documents our marriage certificate, lease since going back to 2015, health, i-9, copies of passport, and auto insurance policy and my husband tax returns. got my bio letter on 8/15/2016. and from there the games began.

got an rfe on 9/2016 that my husband does not meet the income and to include his proof of income. we send a letter of employment, his paystubs and in 11/2016 got the same daym rfe that he does not meet the income. he did. it didn't make sense, after reading the rfe for 2 weeks it clicked. they use line 22 on the IRS forms to determine income and my tax lady had dedicated like 10 grands which reduced his income. so i added my income which included submitting form I-864a, my pay stubs and a letter of employment from my job.

because my DACA ead was about to expire i also send in EAD form which is free with AOS in December 2016 along with the second rfe. and the wait begun
then in may 2017 got my EAD and interview letter.

my interview was june 19 2017 in Orlando fl. you get sworn in it was a lady. oh by the way my fl ID had expired and i have not renewed i didn't take it.

she started went straight to asking my husband about his name, parents name his son name basically all demographic information, while the whole time looking at my file which was like a foot long high and another folder. then she asked him why he married me.
( please note dreamer it's very important to have a loving partner, trust me). he answered her that no one had ever given him love back like i did. at this point she stops and looks at him and asks him to elaborate. and he did. (now my H is very handsome am not kidding, like seriously he has a very handsome beautiful face!!) she asks him where we meet and he goes on and on. she asks for our wedding picture and he tells her we don't have them. we had no pictures. she asks why and we are being honest we hate pictures. she wants details about the wedding but there was no wedding. we just went to court house and got married!

at this time am so glad H is in control he takes out his phone and shows her video of my birthday where he rented a boat and we went boating!

then she turn to me and drills me with questions about being a criminal, selling drug, prostituting, nothing about how i met this guy or about my marriage!

so then she is like am done here guys i will not make my decision because of the removal order. then she said that i activated the 10 year ban when i left with DACA AP and that it had to be removed before she makes her decision. then she said she will send a letter on what to do next. then my husband tells her that DACA canceled the order of removal and she says no. then he asks why boarder patrol let me in and she says i was paroled in. then she says, please don't ask me questions i will send you the letter on what to do.

that Friday i get two letters one asking for more evidence about out marriage!! then another letter stating that i need to file form I-212.

my husband adds me to his bank account we get affidavits letter from his friends and boss. meanwhile i fill out form I-212 kiss another $930 fee to go with the form and we send it.

believe you me on Friday October 6 2017 i get a call around 12pm. the caller introduces her self. it's our interview. SHE CALLED ME!!!

she goes on to tell me that she is trying to reach my husband but he is not picking up his phone. she confirms his #, it correct. she tells me she called 3 times!! am freaking out so bad!! i tell her he always pick up. then am like what is your call back number LOL. she says i can't give you my number. am like can i conference him and make a 3 way call. she says no. she tells me he needs to pick up his phone and that i need to call him and tell him to pick up his phone. i agree, not like i have a choice. i call him and tell him someone is calling him and he says that his phone is blocking the # as a scamer. haha. am like it's not a scam it's the immigration officer. he don't know how to unblock. so he removes his anti virus. then guess what guys, the officer calls me back again!! she asks if i was able to reach him and why he is not picking up. i tell her. then she asks if i told him to pick up his phone. i tell her yes. then she tell me am going to call him now. she calls him and tells him to go back to the office where the interview happened he needs to sing something. she tells him to go on Tuesday October 10 2017 at 8am alone

when he gets there, she call him to the back, like she was waiting and tells him to sign a paper that he didn't not take payment for marrying me. then she tell him to wait 3 to 4 weeks and my application has been approved.

then on Saturday October 14 am going to get bills on my mail box and there waiting is both my green card, and the approval letter for form I 131 and I 485. the resident date is 10/06/2017.

my husband had gone looking for a lawyer. i was adamant about not using a lawyer. i don't trust immigration lawyer after my bad asylum case experience.

some lawyer was quoting their fee of $2000 the cheapest and other $7000!! hell na

well that took 1 year 2 months. no lawyer and about $2400 total including shipping fees.

MLA is a formatting system for citing sources. I think writing in proper English isn't too much to ask here, in addition the edit option exists for a reason.

Good for you, can't comment on the story itself because my eyes started bleeding two lines in.

Well, maybe English is not her first language.
