As much as I hate Schumer and Pelosi for their games, this statement shows the White House is not acting in good faith. You don’t call a bill a compromise or ask to negotiate when you have a take it or leave it approach.
You can’t expect changes to the LEGAL immigration system for nothing. The fact that they are not even pushing for the 4 pillars bill in the house should tell you something.

I do not think anybody with their right minds should be for this bill, which would have made us sign waivers... People are pissed because Democrats lost the leverage. But that is what they always do anyways. They couldn't even pass the Dream Act with 59 democratic senators, where 2 republicans actually voted for it, back in 2010.

The other side lost all they had. If the other party loses all leverage for a deal, why would you ever offer them something that is beneficial to them when you can have your cake and eat it too? Dems knew this. If democrats had any decency, they would have swallowed a bad deal to protect 800k lives that were at stake. They didn't care. Keeping the diversity visa among other bullshit stuff was more important than saving real people. Fuck them.

Are there any politicians with democratic values but republican tactics? That's really the only person that would ever deserve a vote.

Hmm, yet I don’t remember Shummer even discussing the Grassley, they went immediately to Collins (which makes Trump look bad), then they added the DV lottery and DHS poison pill. If I were Trump I’d be pissed too. There was NO effort to negotiate the Grassley bill from Dems.

How can you negotiate with people that keep changing their minds? Trump said DACA FIX, WALL, VISA LOTTERY AND CHAIN MIGRATION. The Collins Bills does not... The Grassley bill goes beyond that... E-Verify, Sign a waiver so we can deport you without seeing a court and etc...

The democrats should have stood their grounds and shut the government for good, way back in December so they could not even pass the Tax Reform...

Waiver would have been a good motivation to not slack off. It wasnt bad.

So are you contradicting yourself now? Because you literally made it sound like DACA and Obama put you in a worse situation...

I get you’re frustration but we can’t ignore the fact that DACA put us on the map. If it wasn’t for Obama, you know that one President that doesn’t give a F about us, we honestly wouldn’t be having this conversation right now and we still would have been the FORGOTTEN working under the table with no benefits whatsoever.
