Not sure what HB1 holders have, also someone pointed out that TPS have advanced parole card which is both EAD and a AP for which you can travel in and out for not longer than 30 days at a time I think?

" Yeah I want to travel". Some of us just want the basic right to work to be able to earn a living. Everything else comes a distant second.

Travel is a basic human right. Unless you like living in a communist dictatorship like North
Korea.

For those of you thinking you can get more than 3 years of out an EAD that you get from this bill, that's incorrect.

We would all get an EAD that expires 3 years after the passage of the bill.

If you get an EAD the day the bill is passed, your EAD is good for 3 years.

If you request and get a new EAD 6 months before the bill expires, then you will get an EAD valid for 6 months.

There will be no way to get 4-5 years out of this. This is not an open-ended policy like DACA. This bill will come with an expiration date, and all EADs – no matter when you get them – will expire on that day.

That said, by that time, we would very likely see an extension of the bill, or hopefully a new bill that gives us green cards.

Could we get something better? Sure! But it's better than DACA ending for good, and us going to back to the shadows without the ability to work!

The moment you decide it is not worth it for you. You can stay and fight for your future, knowing we at the very least have DACA.

What could be better? So many things. We could've been born US citizens.

What could be worse? Not having DACA/ability to work is on that list for me, for sure.
