Judge Andrew Hanen, who has already signaled that he’s ready to kill #DACA, sets a July 8 hearing to pretty much project how he’ll rule.

The program will stay in place in the meantime, as one appeal has been stuck for months in the Supreme Court and others are heading there.

Presumably, that July hearing date was set based on the idea that maybe the Supreme Court will have acted on the 3 pending DACA-related appeals by the end of its term

If DACA gets skewered here, we won't be saved by useless congress cause its a lame-Trump season.

DACA's thick and powerful hide will not be skewered by the villains of Tejas. The villains of Tejas and their oily hides are no match for DACA's legal defense.

Yet another waste of time, and taxpayer dollars, in pursuit of political objectives.

Project how he'll rule? What does that mean? And I thought since the Supreme Court did not schedule DACA hearing this term that meant there was no room until next term?

But SC didn't take the case, so nothing changes really in my opinion. DACA's fate will be decided by SCOTUS, congress or a new president's willingness, or lack thereof, to keep it as an EO. Whatever happens first.

Exactly. None of this makes sense. But I'm assuming this is them trying to push the conflicting ruling; forcing SCOTUS to take up the case.

If he rules it's unconstitutional can they appeal in a more immigrant friendly district or something like that?
