Ok, go tell all the Dreamer advocate and PR groups you are working with. You know... beyond us changing the terminology we use on this forum that no one sees.

You keep saying "We need to do X", but face it. You nor anyone on this forum is doing anything meaningful that will make a change. All we do is post here. You come off as some kind of coordinator, but coordinator of what!? You ain't organizing shit or working with anyone that has a direct influence on what's happening.

Stop acting like you or anyone else is is organizing rallies, or are a part of advocate groups or NGOs, or are working directly with legislators. You sound senile when you keep doing that. Just like you said we need to work with the Trump admin and then the Biden admin. No one here is working or had worked with either admin, directly or indirectly.

It's like in your head, your posts and your "we have to do X" suggestions are actually making a difference in the real world. Come back to reality. You're only reaching the people here.

What the F is going on.. All of a sudden all of the GOP plans look so reasonable??????????

Is it just me? Am I just so desperate that anything looks good?

I am suspicious about their use of "protection" within "protection for dreamers" bit. We already have protections. We need citizenship, not more "protections".

Read between the lines. Look for subtle hints. Don't trust R's are coming to this in good faith.
At this point I just wanna be able to live free of fear of DACA ending.

So if they codify DACA and give us permanent status, I'll take it.

Citizenship can be attained through other ways.

I don't think Democrats will pursue compromise in good faith.

They are slowly but surely becoming drunk with power and don't wanna negotiate with half of the Congress they don't control.

We are all jaided and rightfully so.

Until I see 60 votes, all these proposals are talk

I don't work with any PR/Dream Groups because they are money making mafia organizations that are there for profit only, hence they keep saying "citizenship now!" just to make sure nothing passes. You are underestimating us. We have to spread the word on how these big time groups are using us to continue generating revenue. You are listening to them, or else why would you say "we need citizenship" instead of "we need a path towards conditional permanent residency."

Big time groups like UWD, their strategy is multifaceted....it is to call for something EXTREMELY left (ex. Citizenship for all!, Abolish ICE!) to make sure it doesn't pass and at the same time to make it seem like they are advocating hard and working hard (aka to make sure contributions keep coming in). If something passes, contributions stop coming in.

Citizenship or protection, how many of us really care as long as we can live and work without worry? I am ok with either as long as something gets done and the elements of stress and fear is off our shoulders.

True.

But I read articles online and follow Twitter.

So I know where the politicians are headed before most "news" outlets report to the masses.

I think advocacy doesn't do much anyway.

It's pure politics that will drive the immigration debate. Nothing else will. Both parties are controlled by their respective bases and they are not gonna let go of that control.

Sen. Durbin needs to wake up and listen to GOP Senators. Stop listening to liberals

I must read text of bill because some news sources report bill requires that other immigrants have US citizen children for relief.

That would be dead on arrival. This may just be a starting point. But we need to get both sides to hash out a deal.
