She asked basic questions about how we met how we got married and then she asked individual questions about each other such as out employment and would tick of things on paper as we answered. The interview took place with myself and my wife in same room the interview took about 10 minutes. We brought everything in the checklist they provide but only where asked for our marirge certificate, any recent bank statements since application, explanation on why we have a second property and proof of that property being used as a rental property. She also went through our wedding and honeymoon book but that's after I insisted she looked at it
Im curious to know if the explanation on why you guys have a second property was requested on the letter of your scheduled interview? If so this means that these letters are not generic but rather customized to each applicant?

Also, my question is why would this matter in AOS. Is having a second property a requirement to AOS? If not then why request such proof?

1/23/2017 AOS Package received (also the priority date)

1/26/2017 texts notifying me receipt

2/17/2017 Biometrics

4/21/2017 email notice case interview scheduled

5/23/2017 Interview

5/23/2017 approved

90days from package received to interview date scheduled.

No R.F.E received so far which is a great relief since I rushed everything so that I could get all my paperwork submitted as soon as possible due to trump worries.

I never received a “case is ready for interview” my case status jumped straight from “fingerprint fee received” to “interview is scheduled”

I have had DACA and renewed it 3times it expires in sept2018 which is why I did not do the combo card. I did advanced parole to Mexico in June 2016 due to humanitarian reasons. I arrived in usa when I was 2 years old I have been here for 25 years.

One last thing – all of the applications (DACA,AP,AOS) I did them myself, they are not difficult, if you do not have a criminal record or orders of deportation then you can easily do all the applications without a lawyer.

Oh and this wouldn't have been possible without mr.obama he opened so many doors for not just me. With out him I would probably still be in the shadows working illegally being scared each day. One day I am going to track him down and thank him personally. As they say thanks obama

Precisely, this is why it is essential to know you own case...and know it well before even applying for the benefit through adjustment.

In addition, the original posted quote, USCIS was definitely leaning towards approval because they had the interview "together". There was no stokes interview.

My belief is that such property was either listed as a source of income or an asset for the purpose of I-864 and thus the proof of income is needed or the property title/mortgage was used as proof of bonafide marriage. However, this is just speculation until OP answers. What do you think Ianus?

Interesting take on it, could be. What I thought was that they wanted proof that they are in fact living together and not separate since they happen to own two properties. For example, that they dont just have both properties in their names, but one lives in one place and the other person lives in the other, as a 'fake' couple might do

Congrats OP on such fast approval!

Why did you insist her to look at your wedding honeymoon book? Did you sense a bad vibe from her? Was there signals that made you feel uncomfortable?

Did anybody get asked questions about your shared bills (e.g. utilities, rent, etc.)?

I received the letter that my EAD was approved through AOS July 12. I haven't received the card yet, hopefully not far behind

The strange thing is there was no case update online or via text/email. Online the case for i765 still says the application was received on March 22nd etc etc

I did an online service request on June 30th, so maybe that helped
