I have a question, is it really OK to contact the senators that represent the states others the one you currently live in? What do we tell them about our address?

Why not?

Nobody will ask you for your address, they only ask for a zipcode, or the city you are calling from.

i thought that at first too. From my experience, calling reps requires a zip code and/or city the you live in like this: "what city do you live in?" Lol. Say your city and that's it. Senators are easier, just say what you came to say and they will tell the senator for you. They dont ask you anything, at least they havent asked me yet. KEEP CALLING

I can't stress this enough: If they ask for a zip code, you really really need to give them one from their state, otherwise they won't pass your message along, especially when they haven't made up their minds.

I have to agree with angeleno. I actually interned at a senator's office and as an intern I had to take down constituent comments and their zip codes. If the zip code belonged to another state other than the one that the senator represented, we would not even put it in our excel sheet. So, in order for our voice to be heard and our comments to be passed on to the senators, we have to give them a zip code from their state. Hope this helps. Btw, it's my first post ever on this site. I love this site and I've been checking it out for years now, I appreciate everyone's information. This year we are going to get Dream Act, but we do have to act on it! Lets go guys, we can do this!
