I don't know how this is going to play out. They have wasted so much time and now want to play catch up? It's simply a matter of squandered opportunity on part of the House Dems and the administration.

That being said, remember at the beginning of this whole thing, several aides gave statements saying that some members of the GOP were anti-anything immigration related, including border security and/or the DREAM Act?

Why? Because it could lead to a conference committee with the Senate. So, if they pass anything, we could see something sort of like what happened with the fiscal standoff where Boehner allows a conference deal to pass with the majority of Democrats voting for it.

It's to late to be working on an immigration bill now. Either they pass the Senate's version or nothing. Everyone in the house is familiar with it now, they all know how it works and can easily adjust it to fit their needs in a bill.

I don't think it is late. We have plenty of time.

It is way past overdue and no, we don't have enough time.

Those of us who are in their midtwenties (myself included) are in desperate need of a greencard to qualify for student loans, get a great job, start a family ,and get on with their lives.

After these Congressmen are done passing our bill, I could care less about them!
