I'm taking an educated guess on timing.

My plan is to apply and push out start date.

It will take at least 1 week for me to get an offer after interviews etc..
I maybe will have 1 week to accept or deny.
Then I can push out start date at least 2-4 weeks.

So in my estimate if I apply today, I can have a start date of 10/3 or later at earliest. So it can range 1 - 4 months.

By then my hope is that USCIS has fixed their issues.

And at the very least, this will be interview practice, and motivation to have a good portfolio.

Unless the employer is desperate, imo, most hiring process take a couple of months from the moment you apply. You can always also extend start date.
I expire on 09/10 and HR still hasn't told me how they will proceed, I know I won't be working but I don't know if they'll terminate all together or put me in leave of absence.
I started looking at jobs last night but I have to fix my resume prior to applying.

Well I can say that stress and frustration have been with us, especially if your stuff expired ,
However that hasn't prevented me from not driving, don't get me wrong I'm not doing anything that will catch attention, I'm being careful as I have always been prior to daca. In end I think we shouldn't sweat a lot til we get a ticket. As far as driving goes, the other stuff like our jobs is different story, especially if you have a degree. For us that don't there will be more jobs out there, atleast with me I'll strife to get a different one and see this as small step backwards

hey, i just want to say few words to express my gratitude in seeing a thread like this to encourage fellow Dreamers who are on the same boat. I, too, have just graduated and got hired but my EAD expires in 9/4, and this creates a real problem as well. I totally agree with the idea that considering this period of time as a rare chance of serenity in life away from just working and working. I know some of you got bills to pay and mouths to feed, but hey we all have our burdens to carry. If there is nothing we can do right now to speed up the process, let us make good use of our time to do the things that we always have in mind but never had the time. I know God has His time table for all of us. Persevere fellow Dreamers.

Glad to know it's helped. We're all in this together.

Expired 8/17 as well.
Approved today.

I still drive with an expired license. Funny thing, got pulled over two weeks ago for going 32mph on a 25mph, forgot school started.

Cop didn't even bother to look at expiration date. White/light-skin privilege is real folks! Also, its impossible to overrate how different a person "dressed" professionally is perceived and consequently treated. Just paid fine for speeding and carried on.

However, wouldn't be eager to hazard that again.

Also as an IT contractor, the issue of working with an expired EAD never came up. The contracting company makes too much money off me to kick a fuss over it I suppose.

Hang in there, its bound to come.

I'm amazed that you guys still invoke God and use your faith to help you through tough times like these. I definitely started losing my faith in high school and lost it completely in college. I respect you all for it; I don't know how you do it.

Hi! Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that.
Hopefully the process we're in pushes you to go back and rely on greater things to happen.
I'm praying for you.
