He's waiting on SCOTUS because he thinks he can get more for DACA. With DACA scruck down, Dems would have no room to bargain. He thinks it's a blank check.

It won't matter what Jared wants, if what Jared wants is still at odds with Trump.

That is why it is crucial for dems to negotiate now. If he accepts the offer that is going around trump will have about 50% of what he wants for border security and dems will only be getting “more humane detention centers” once scotus comes around trump will only need about 3 Billion for his wall and 1000 more agents so he will also ask for his 2 pillars (chain migration and visa lottery)

I agree 100%. I even know couple people from the country that I was born that got their GC through visa lottery. However, they could not make it in the USA, so they went back. This diversity visa lottery is probably the stupidest thing ever! I also do not get why you can sponsor your cousin or your uncle and etc... You should only be able to sponsor your children. If your parents or your extended family want to come to the USA then they should be able to get some type of a "special" visa, but definitely not be online for a GC.

By the way, please do not attack me because I came back earlier than promised. I saw the last two memes from yesterday. They were rough! Peace!

You can't. If a person directly affected by immigration laws can't get it right, how can we expect the average American to understand?

I would be okay with getting rid of F3 and F4.

@realdonaldtrump

I don’t think the Dems on the Border Committee are being allowed by their leaders to make a deal. They are offering very little money for the desperately needed Border Wall & now, out of the blue, want a cap on convicted violent felons to be held in detention!

Looks like negotiations are falling apart according to npr

@npr

JUST IN: Both Republicans and Democrats say talks over border security funding have reached an impasse. If an agreement isn’t reached by Friday at midnight, the government could again partially shut down, just three weeks after a the end of a 35 day partial government shutdown.

(1/3) Sen. Richard Shelby, the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, told Fox News Sunday, “I think the talks are stalled right now.” Shelby later said the chances of a deal being reached were 50/50.

(2/3) A Democratic source tells NPR's @kelsey_snell that the talks have broken down over how many detention beds for ICE are funded through this agreement. Democrats want to limit the number of detention beds in order to prevent ICE from aggressively arresting immigrants.

(3/3) Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney also said on NBC’s Meet the Press that he “absolutely cannot” rule out another government shutdown but added that the “most likely outcome” is that Congress will reach a border security agreement President Trump will sign.

Narrow isn’t going to work . They need to broaden the agreement up and throw permanent status for dreamers in there.
