I believe if Schumer has the courage to tell his caucus not to vote for clean CR, then yes. What's the point of having leverage if you are never going to use it? Will he? Maybe if enough progressive groups really pressure him.

Here's this guys take on what's going on:

@MEPFuller
Quote:
Chuck Schumer knows a united stand against (basically) a clean CR with (maybe) a caps deal and (likely) CHIP will be tough. But that’s assuming they can even *get* a bill to the Senate. And Trump is making it easier with every tweet and closed-door comment.
Quote:
So will Senate Democrats give Republicans a short-term CR just to get CHIP when Trump is clearly posturing against DACA? I don’t know, but that’s only one piece of the shutdown calculus. So many ways a CR falls apart.
Quote:
Seems like it’d be tough for Republicans to pass a CR without a deal (defense hawks, appropriators, Democrats), and it’s tough for them to pass one with it (conservatives).

I hope luck is on our side this time Swim! We will need it, hoping for the best! I hope Schummer felt all that outrage after December’s vote and realized that we are not going to leave quiet.

Democrats have too long been playing with our feelings. We no longer will be used as a threat for their victories over Republicans.

Don't let Trump and the White House fool you with all this talk about denying money for the military and troops. If they cared so much about them, Trump would reach a DACA deal and avoid the possibility of a shutdown!

I think all of us are aware of that.

I think we are mostly frustrated that the Dems are not showing any courage and using their leverage bro.

He originally voted for the last CR. So it looks like we will get a unified democratic caucus.
Schumer might release McCaskill tester Donnelly and the one from WV though
