^ Asylum was their only argument left before the immigration court. It was either that or deportation since humanitarian parole was not granted. We don't know their exact arguments either, but judging by their success, seven had a valid argument for asylum while the other two so far we don't know.

Bingo

"If illegal aliens want to fix their status all they gotta do is go to Mexico and seek asylum!! We don't need a reform"

But I'm happy for them. They took a risk and got asylum as a reward.

They took a great risk that most of us are not willing to take. I have no problem that they are being rewarded. For people who are saying we should all do the same thing, how many of you are willing to be part of those nine people in the beginning. I'm not talking about have 30000 people, but 9 people doing something that nobody dare to do. Would you take that risk?

I don't believe they gave asylum yet but the opportunity to present their case before a judge.

Frankly I didn't even read the article and just glanced at it now and it says they WON AN ASYLUM BID. This title is misleading as heck.

THEY HAVE NOT YET WON. Their case is pending and is waiting a hearing. ZZZZZZZzzz

Let's wait for them to be approved before raging guys. It will most likely be denied.

And now since our case is closed, we have to hope for immigration reform.
Yup, once your case is closed, it makes it much harder to reopen if your circumstances change such as getting married to a USC or something else. You can ASK for it to be reopened but they can say FU and not do it.

I don't see DA User taking the same risk as these dream 9 did. I hope the very best for these dreamers.

I wish the Dream9 well in their cases. It took a lot of courage to do what they did.

Closing thread.
