That was the bipartisan bill was unfortunately it was 6 votes shy

Just watched CNN, a Supreme Court reporter said now that the case is back to the lower courts the March 5th deadline is no longer valid. We will just see how it plays in court and how the Congress will fix this problem

The Supreme Court's decision to NOT intercede in #DACA case means that the case is now back at the 9th Circuit, which will almost assuredly not be fast, so no decision on this case until near year's end. That makes #DACA a hot campaign issue, which is good for those who see the truth about Trump and President Miller and their anti-immigrant theology. It also means the Dems do NOT have to cave on crazy anti-immigration, anti-family requests from Trump and the GOP. AND, it also means, that the DEMS, IF they win in November will be under IMMEDIATE pressure in January 2019 to pass a Clean DREAM Act.

So, if I get this right, the sequence now is:

9th Circuit (regarding prelim. injunction) -> back to federal court (primary case) -> 9th circuit (appeal) -> supreme court (appeal).

This is a win for immigration in general.

In one hand, lots of people who couldn't renewal back in October 5 can now do so. But in the other hand, it really removed pressure from Congress to act on it. Plus we will greatly lose support from activists.

But the way I see it, Trump can't use the emergency of DACA "ending" to get Democrats to cave in to his pillars anymore.

If for whatever reason Congress decides to vote on a DA like bill, it would be somewhat cleaner now.

It's really a non win for us but also not a down for us.
