I think it's a safe bet that you've been approved for the GC. I know it does seem strange since you would expect the I-130 to update before the I-485, but the status you got for the I-130 is not out...

I hope you hear back soon. Frankly, it should not take them months to process an RFE, but additional delays are almost a given these days.

I recently received my GC. The whole process took almost 9 months. I interviewed at almost 6 months but had to wait longer while they processed an RFE.

I'm not quite sure how to feel except to be...

If your father EWI, another option is 245i. To be eligible, he must have been a beneficiary of a petition filed on or before 4/30/2001 (perhaps through a USC sibling).
