Thats 4x the amount I paid ($2000 for overstay so did not have to file I-601).

If you are an overstay, I would recommend to apply on your own. If EWI, then get another lawyer or contact a couple...

Cool. Mine is at NBC as well :)

So I guess most (if not all) I-130 apps go to NBC, and then to the NVC after approval.

Received EAD/AP combo card yesterday.

Now I wait for the NOA2 for the I-130 (hoping it will be around November since the avg time is around 5 months)

If you look at the USCIS processing time for New York City, they are still processing I-485 apps from October 2015, so you should hear something from them regarding your interview soon (1-2 months).

Any updates on cases yet?

I will be submitting a service request for my AOS EAD application next week as I havent heard anything.I believe you can submit a SR after the case is pending for 75 days...

So for you it took approx 8 months (Oct 15 - May 16) from app submission to approval...is that about correct? Just trying to verify the approximate time frame for AOS :)

That sounds about right. I would think it would take longer now...almost all of the field offices are still working on I-485 cases from last year.

When did you apply for AOS?

We will only get an interview date when our I-130 is approved, and currently NBC is working on applications from May, so we still have some time to go.
