I would strongly recommend approaching your school and telling them about your situation. See if you can negotiate financial aid with them.

Thank you! I really do believe a lot of people are misinformed. They ask simple questions like "Well why didn't you try to get papers before your visa expired?" And the answer to that question is.......

(1) I came here when I was six years old so I didn't exactly "choose" to move here.
(2) I came with my family legally, so we didn't "choose" to be undocumented here. The legal system screwed us....

It might not feel worse if you stay quiet, but it also won't get any better. I feel like the reform movement needs as many voices as possible, and yours could be the tipping point that changes...
