Hey there,


Short answer, I did not.


When I applied for AOS, my DACA had been renewed 4 months prior. So being how my case is/was one of the fastest, I decided not apply for the work permit....

It is perfectly normal, happend to me. The i-821d form changed status 2 days later. Card arrived just fine.

I'm not sure if you were talking to me, but here I go anyway!
In my case, the application asked if I was a USC and nothing else, implying that I needed to be a USC. Also, it asked if was registered...

Just ask the employer for clarification! I had a somewhat similar problem to this and the recruiter told me exactly how to proceed.

I see what you're saying. Based on my previous experiences, where my cases were approved almost immediately, I did lose a month+ of time in my EAD.
Hopefully someone in here can provide a little...

You probably don't want to hear this from me, but in my case this same case status lasted for 5+ months! I honestly feel like it was bad luck on my end.
When they approve you, your I-765 form case...

Exactly! Unless of course, they have approved the I-821D form and are now reviewing the I-765 form (as USCIS states they do), but I feel like that's very rare, never happened to me.
