Does USCIS register us for Selective Service?

I apologize if there's been a thread about this already, but I'd like to know if USCIS registers all the 18-25 year old applicants for DACA? thanks in advance.

NO way to be sure if uscis is registering people, some states do register you when you submit an application for ID/DL

it happens either when you apply for your SSN or when you apply for your DL/ID

The only time USCIS registers you for Selective Service is when you're approved for Permanent Residency.

Some states DMV register you when you apply for a DL/ID.

USCIS does not register anyone for Selective Service. You are required to register on your own. Some people posted here that DMV or Social Security office does it for you. I have never known that, so don't assume that you are registered if you have not physically filled out the card yourself. You can also go to the selective service website and check your status. You put in your name, DOB and social, and it will tell you if you are registered and when.

Best advice is to not assume that someone registered you. Check your status online and if you realized you are not registered then you'll know what to do.
