From the obama administration on any immigration reform at all is making me nervous. The workplace raids seem to continue, nothing is being said about DREAM or any sort of reform.

It seems like mums the word, and that is not very comforting.

Any thoughts?

Well it's only been about 30 days since inauguration, and didn't he say he would do something about dream within his first 100 days in office? So give him a little bit more time, at least another 20 or so days. But I know what you mean, waiting is the hardest part.

I think that we need to be realistic about the priorities of the Obama administration. Sure, for us there's absolutely nothing more pressing than the passage of the DA, but for most people it's the economy, followed by universal health care, etc, etc.

I actually think that it's better that it hasn't been brought up yet because Republicans are getting really nasty with the stimulus bill and everything. In all honesty I think that had the topic of immigration been brought up Republicans would have used it as proof of "San Francisco liberal politics" and "Pelosi's agenda" against the middle class. Timing is everthing this time around.

Just hang in there.

What's stopping you? No need to wait for someone to introduce DREAM to begin campaigning for it. Do your part and let the politicians do theirs.

I like the silence, because I trust Dick Durbin.

And silence is good, I would rather have the Democrats say nothing at all, but when it's time, I fully expect them to walk the walk, besides, if you publicly state your plans, it will just give the opposing sides some time to adjust, and possibly game plan against us, so at this point, we all don't have a choice, but to wait, and see what happens.

It is kind of suspicious to me, but then again, it hasn't been that long since inaguration and everyone's focus right now its the economy. If they keep putting it off after the economy is taken care of, then I will start to get worried.

well, i've been saying this.
you can't expect miracles to happen because obama is one person. durbin is one person. and the new administration has only been established less than a month.

Yeah, I think we should call radio stations and ask them to dedicate a program/session for the Dream Act! Alot of people don't know about it. It would help to spread the word and let them know what the Act will do, and while we're at it, let them know that we are NOT criminals in any way!!!!!!!! Anybody wanna?
