I don't know how I missed reading your post yesterday. I know the foster parents part is scary, but keep in mind that for every horror story you hear about that there is one with a happy ending. Anyway, it's your decision and only you know what is best for you.

As for the rest, remember that what you are feeling is a result of your situation, which will eventually change. I know it's not much but it might help you get through this. A 3.27 GPA is not bad, not going to Harvard while putting up with all you have to put up with is not bad. I know that it feels like it's the end of the world right now, but you are still young, there are many paths to your dream. The reputation of Ivy Leagues could help you get there, that's true, but it is also possible to do that if you go to schools that might not be as prestigious and take advantage of all the resources they might give you. It's about what you put into it outside of going to class.

Give yourself some credit, you are still in school despite all that you have to put up with and been through, that's quite an accomplishment! Really, it's something to be admired.

On the more practical side: you say you need something to do on the weekends to distract yourself and you don't have a means of transportation, how about volunteering for a bike co-op? They might be able to help you find or build a bike for yourself for free if you help them out. That way you learn something new, keep yourself occupied, and end up with a way to transport yourself. Besides it might earn you cool points with your classmates, they might just assume you jumped on the green/environmental trend (or you could just tell them that). Oh, look what I found (I didn't know KC was part of two states):

I don't know if it's too far for you, but it's something.

Hope this helps, keep your head up.

hey! welcome to the forum. im a high school junior too, and i also fell into depression. i dont know exactly how you feel but i went through a familiar experience. but hey, i tried to get involved and it really inspired me to keep moving forward. when i found this site i found wonderful people who bring my spirits up and i hope you will too. if you ever need a friend, you have one here. (that goes for everyone) i hope you feel better, and i hope you find a sanctuary soon. hey, maybe this will be it. i just want to let you know you are not alone, and that death is not the answer. que te sientas mejor y que DIOS te Bendiga a ti y a tu familia

^Yeah but you're not a little "kid" anymore. I say you look into it and consult with a lawyer or someone you know who knows about the laws.
